About
I work at the intersection of cybersecurity, software engineering, design, and freelance digital work.
I'm Ali Bourak, an engineering student in Cybersecurity and Networks in Casablanca. I focus on application security, web pentesting, and secure software systems, building on a strong foundation in full-stack development, Linux administration, and modern web architecture.

Most of my current work is centered on the analysis and controlled exploitation of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities through hands-on labs, CTF environments, and personal technical projects. I also work on academic and personal security labs such as VulnLabX and a virtual defensive lab from scratch.
I care about secure-by-design systems, clear architecture, and practical security. My goal is to keep security and reliability at the center of engineering decisions, not as an afterthought.
Secure by default
Web security, secure development, and threat-aware decisions from the first sketch to deployment.
Clean architecture
Systems that stay understandable, testable, and maintainable, rather than one-off impressive demos.
Design that respects users
Calm, usable interfaces with clear hierarchy and focus instead of visual noise.
Current focus
- Web security and secure full-stack systems.
- CTF and practical cybersecurity learning.
- Product-minded engineering with modern web stacks.
How I work
I like small, intentional teams, clear scopes, and strong communication. Security is part of architecture, implementation, and review from the start.
